I literally just changed the windshield on my 2021 Subaru Forester three weeks ago, so it’s still fresh in my memory. I also had a crack from a rock, caught on the way from Vanderhoof - as usual, it’s not immediately noticeable, and then, when it got warmer, it quickly went away. I also started by searching the Internet for “Auto Glass Stores in Prince George, BC”, and realized that it’s easier to listen to someone live than to read conflicting reviews. In the end, on the advice of a colleague, I went to Speedy Glass on Massey Dr. And, honestly, I don’t regret it. Right on their website, you can immediately indicate the car model, type of damage and request an estimate. They called me back literally within 30 minutes. They very politely explained that according to my insurance (ICBC Comprehensive), I only have to pay the deductible - in my case, $200. They took care of everything else themselves, I didn’t even call the insurance company. I made an appointment for the next morning, which meant I didn't have to wait much. I arrived, left the car for a couple of hours, and went to Tim's nearby, and by lunchtime they called and said everything was ready. They installed the original Pilkington glass (if it matters to anyone, it's the same supplier as Subaru's factory glass). There was a smell of glue, of course, but it quickly went away. They gave me a piece of paper with recommendations: don't wash for 48 hours, don't slam the doors, etc.

I've been following this thread, and it's interesting too. I'm still OK with everything, but it's good to know that Prince George has reputable Auto Glass Stores that work with ICBC and don't drag things out. I think if anything happens, I'll start with Speedy.
